Azul ⴰⵣⵓⵍ is a band born in Naples from Maghrebi, South American parents, with North American accents.
In 2019 the Neapolitan singer-songwriter Marilena Vitale (Fede'n'Marlen) calls three musicians Dario Di Pietro (Luk, Flamenco Napuleno), Riccardo Schmitt (Ondanueve, Pasquale Catalano) and Enrico Valanzuolo, from the national scene, to her to participate in a project written almost entirely in Spanish and open to jazz, folk blues and Latin influences.
They present their project at the Teatro Galleria Toledo as part of the "Songs" review, at the Piccolo Bellini in the "BeQuiet" review. They collect a good number of concerts even outside the region and participate in various festivals such as the Atella Sound Circus and Ecosuoni 2021 together with the Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti.
At the end of 2019 their first self-titled album produced by the Neapolitan world music label "APOGEO RECORDS" is released, which is very enthusiastic by critics.
The disc - ep is composed of an anthology of six songs written in four different languages, Spanish, Neapolitan, Portuguese and Italian, and they speak of love, of integration and readings of madness through the key of art.
In 2021 the bassist and double bass player Emiliano Berti (Pasquale Aprile band) joined the band, thus enriching the sound with new colors.
In 2022 they release two new singles: "Rio" with the participation of Jovine and "Riviera Maya" with the participation of Paul Bruntland.
Azulⴰⵣⵓⵍ è una band nata a Napoli da genitori magrebini, sud americani, con accenti nord americani.
Nel 2019 la cantautrice napoletana Marilena Vitale ( Fede'n'Marlen) chiama a sè tre musicisti Dario Di Pietro (Luk, Flamenco Napuleno), Riccardo Schmitt (Ondanueve, Pasquale Catalano) ed Enrico Valanzuolo, della scena nazionale, per partecipare ad un progetto scritto quasi interamente in lingua spagnola e aperto ad influenze jazz, folk blues e latin.
Presentano il loro progetto al Teatro Galleria Toledo nell'ambito della rassegna "Songs", al Piccolo Bellini nella rassegna del "BeQuiet".
Collezionano un buon numero di concerti anche fuori regione e partecipano a vari festival come l'Atella Sound Circus ed Ecosuoni 2021 insieme ai Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti.
Alla fine del 2019 esce il loro primo disco omonimo prodotto dall'etichetta di world music partenopea "APOGEO RECORDS" che riscuote un grande entusiasmo
dalla critica .
